We connected with Open Oceans a few years ago through a shared contact, and have been iterating our product ever since based on their feedback. Their clients and internal brands have been some of the original test cases for our earliest and newest features. In fact, Open Oceans saw so much promise in our approach to tackling the Creative Insights challenge that they joined Purposely.ai’s Angel fundraising round last year. But perhaps the biggest moment in our partnership came when they had a big pitch opportunity. 

The Challenge

As all healthy businesses, Open Oceans needed to continue growing. They saw an opportunity for just that when they had a chance to pitch a large global footwear  brand for their strategic consulting and digital advertising services. So where does Purposely.ai fit in?

Given the value Open Oceans knew was possible through Purposely.ai, they wanted to tout their cutting-edge AI insights capabilities in the pitch. They also wanted to leverage their position as a Preferred Beta Partner and Angel investor to demonstrate their commitment to remaining on the cutting edge of digital marketing. The prospective client also asked them to provide thoughts on how they were future-proofing their program, and Purposely was their key answer to that. Open Oceans highlighted all of this in the pitch, with slides dedicated to Purposely.ai.

The Result

You guessed it, Open Oceans won the pitch! A $200k deal, which is no small feat for a boutique consulting agency. What’s more, they’ve delivered impressive results since kicking off. Namely, Open Oceans delivered a 2X increase in ROAS, and a 100% increase in brand traffic on Google compared to the prior high in the last 5 years. They have also taken over all creative production for the global sandals brand. This would not have been possible without Purposely.ai.
